Eco-Friendly Denim Cuff Bracelets

Who knew jean cuffs could make cute bracelets?

It’s the perfect material – stretchy yet sturdy. Different colors of threads put a pop of color. Your creativity can run wild, especially if you are a much more advanced sewer than I am.

Furthermore, you’re upcycling old jeans which probably cost you a lot when you bought them. You can make use of this material by turning it into cute materials, such as these jean cuff bracelets.

Here are the steps, which are quite simple.

  1. Cut off the cuffs of your jeans.

Any type of jeans will work – white, black, jeggings, skinny, etc. The cuff will most likely be folded in half regarding the width. Unfold it and leave it for now.
  2. Cut the cuff to fit your wrist. Leave a little bit of space for maneuvering.
  3. The cuff’s width should be unfolded. Slip a cut elastic band inside.

This is not necessary, but it helps with the flexibility of the elastic band.
  4. Sew the cuff shut. Add whatever decorations you wish with the needle or beads, etc.

An alternate way for denim cuff bracelets, if you wish for thicker bands, is to cut the waistband of your jeans. Click here if you wish to learn more.

Lots of love and be eco-friendly,

Jess
