seasons

unto the beginning of winter
where snow shalt fall
and branches bare bear their souls proud
to silver-lined skies weeping
pearly treasures fallen from the heavens.

unto the beginning of spring
and flowers shalt bloom
bearing altruistic honey-suckled petals
open to six-legged outcasts
flying free in the light breeze.

unto the beginning of summer
where the sun shalt beam its angry beams
on shriveled earth cowering from its wrath
saved by soothing fingers of watery hands
waiting for the sun to set.

unto the beginning of autumn
where crowned leaves shalt take their last breath
with the brisk breeze upon dying sunlight
whirling to the welcome hug of the earth
to be reborn anew.
