you and I walk the stairway to the stars
bobbing gently in the dark night sea.
quietly and gently, the dove harmonizes
with the soft crackling of starry fires.
You and I, in this space together –
I cup my hands around a precious starbright jewel,
a pearl within fluttering lotus flower petals,
as it illuminates our intertwined hearts and souls.
