Hidden Sensitivities

These masks that I wear
are protections and prisons
from kindness and pain.

A/N: thinking of binomial distributions from statistics. aka: to be or not to be. to protect or not to protect. to be kind or not to be kind. too bad the world can’t be so clearly cut into black and white.

Also, when Schrodinger said his cat can be alive and not alive at the same time because it is in a state of uncertainty from the human perspective… I think that’s kind of arrogant (to presume that humans are the decider of being alive or dead), but aren’t the walls we put up to “protect” ourselves kind of like that, in which these walls exist in two states – protect and imprison – at the same time?
