the fragility of the chrysalis
shimmering web of beauty
blossoming,
a butterfly stumbling out,
wings limp until flight
into the pale blue sky
the story is long and rambling
but the end is short and quick,
the butterfly ceases breath
and the chrysalis dissolves into ash.
human life is scarily fragile. one moment, you could feel the earth beneath your feet. in the next, you can be sucked into the void of the unknown. each second brings unknown dangers and beauties and happiness and trials. cherish each moment you breathe, even through the tears and the cracked lips and the hoarse throat because you might never know when — everything will cease to exist.
