bits and pieces
drift by
there is nothing left
except plywood
the ocean roars
the river trickles away
past bobbing sun
the moon bows
lengthening clock hands
fades to black
the cross-eyed seagull calls
for its dead mate
fish leap out of the sky
from goddess’ hands
the stage empty from talent
whales sing loneliness
stars are mocking lights
beaming smiles hide devil’s horns
deception clouds blind man’s eyes
soaring waterfalls
softly touch craggly rocks
last breath
invisible waters reach and caress
child’s empty hands
lingering touches drift
away – plywood falls down rapids
fractured memories
fall apart.
