thunder and lightning personified

slowly rumbling,
the beast inside the sky
is stirring,
saliva dripping from its hungry maws,
as he fumes and rages,
anger electrifying its fur
red and yellow eyes,
howling his woes
from being caged in the sky
to the earth below.

As you can see with the recent influx of rainy day poems, it is obviously raining here. I like the rain as long as I am not in the rain. But the best thing about the rain is the day after when the sky is blue and the air is clear. Those days are the most refreshing and beautiful, and you can clearly see the mountains covered with a fresh blanket of snow.
