30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 4- Places I want to Visit

The city I live is like a stranger to me. I’ve lived here for fifteen years, and there are still people I don’t know, places I’ve never visited…

But it’s home.

Home is where the heart is.

But where my head is, I have no idea. My head wants to visit so many places in the world, too many for me to count.

So here’s a list of places I want to visit and why. Be aware, some are quite common.

  1. Paris, France

Why do I want to visit such a touristy city? Because it’s romantic. I’m already swooning, and I haven’t been there yet. And, who knows? Unexpected romance? I’m gushing. It sounds like something from a book.

Plus, croissants. And pastries. Do I need to say anymore?
  2. London, England

To see all the old attractions and talk with people with a British accent. Of course, old attractions is the priority, and talking to people with a British accent is just a plus. Hehe.

Also, Harry Potter. I want to know what true house I am in. (JK Rowling’s site says I’m a Slytherin. I kind of like that, to be honest.)
  3. Solvang, California

I’ve been there once before, a couple of years ago, and the city/town is just quaint. It’s beautiful, exactly what I imagine a town would look like. Besides, its ice cream and Danish cookies are great.
  4. Hawaii

Anywhere in Hawaii. I’ve been there once a long, long time ago, and have no memory of the place. I have a faint memory of papayas and the beach. So my reasons for going is for the papaya and the beach.
  5. Hogwarts

Magic. Harry Potter. Do I have to say anymore? Also, I want to be a witch. And my name would be Raven Evermore. (hehe, get it?)
  6. Terrasen

Because I would be close to Aelin, witness her companions up close, and see the rolling green hills, and the beautiful bloom of the kingsflame. But mostly because I want to be close to Aelin.

I don’t care if the place is fictional. Terrasen just sounds great. (If you read the Throne of Glass series, you know what I mean).
  7. A small beach town

Because it sounds utterly romantic and a ton of fun. And, also, sand and the ocean. Do I have to say anymore?
  8. A small town in general.

It sounds so… intriguing, and I think it would be nice to be a stranger in a group of close-knit friends. That’s my reason. Also, because a lot of books take place in a small town. I come from a small city. Does that count?
  9. Georgia

Because my friend from junior high lives there, and I would love to visit her. And explore a new state/city/town while at it.
  10. A novel.

Any novel, really. I just want to live in a fictitious world for the rest of my life. It would be wonderful.

Or living in my own novel would be really cool.

Conspiracy theory. What if our lives are just part of a novel? Like, the mastermind is writing us, and we’re actually doing the things that he’s writing. Hm….

Feel free to share your list of places you want to visit with me! I would love to see your fabulous ideas.

Lots of love,

P.S. Don’t visit any places right now. It’s not healthy nor safe.
